Robert is a seasoned attorney with nearly two decades of experience in both estate planning and business transactions.  With a unique appreciation for both disciplines, he now dedicates his time to helping individuals and businesses navigate their most important legal matters with personalized advice drawn from years of experience.  After retiring from the corporate world, where he served as managing partner in his previous firm as well as general counsel to a company of 500 employees, Robert launched his own boutique firm dedicated to providing more personalized, focused legal services.  

Throughout his career, Robert has earned a reputation for his commitment to excellence, exceptional insight, and delivering practical, effective solutions in complex legal areas.  With a background in corporate law, regulatory law, estate planning, and litigation, he has handled some of the most difficult legal challenges while putting his clients' needs first. Robert brings his extensive experience and compassion to a more hands-on practice, with the goal of empowering clients to achieve their estate and business objectives.

Education

Robert earned his Juris Doctor degree, cum laude, from Texas A&M School of Law in 2007 (formerly Texas Wesleyan), where he excelled academically and in moot court competition. He also earned a Bachelor of Music, summa cum laude, from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in 2001, where he was also recognized for his academic excellence and leadership.

Professional Career

Robert’s practice areas have encompassed estate planning, business law, real estate, overseeing complex litigation and civil defense, contract negotiation, and regulatory/compliance matters. His notable achievements include involvement in a landmark seven-year legal battle that culminated in a multimillion-dollar judgment after a successful appeal to the Fifth Circuit. Throughout his career, Robert has built a versatile practice.  His reputation as a trusted advisor is further solidified by his ability to simplify complex legal issues for his clients. His expertise spans both business transactions and personal legal matters, and he is known for his dedication to helping his clients make informed decisions that align with their long-term goals.

Robert has been consistently recognized for his legal prowess and dedication to his clients. He has been named a Rising Star three times by Texas Super Lawyers, an honor reserved for only the top percentage of attorneys in Texas, as voted on by peers. Entrepreneurship and Early Career

Before entering the legal field, Robert gained valuable entrepreneurial experience as the founder of a retail business he later sold. He also patented a small line of products, which gave him firsthand insight into asset protection and the challenges faced by small business owners. This entrepreneurial background informs his current practice, especially when advising clients on business law and growth strategies.

Personal Life and Interests

Robert is deeply committed to his family and faith. He enjoys spending time with his wife and their three children. Outside of his legal work, Robert is an avid outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, hunting, and spending time working on the family acreage and property. He also enjoys volunteering and helping others, particularly through creative endeavors that foster personal growth and fulfillment.
